Dancy Thing

Here is a new generic Electronic Rock track that I worked out this weekend. It is not really that good, but it is catchy and I kept it right at three min. Just like all the crap you hear on the radio.
I will update if I ever decide to write some lyrics for it.

I decided that I was going to do something with a "four to the floor" dance beat. I had been revisiting some of my old "nu metal" cds and I remembered how much I liked that Korn/Orgy fuzzy guitar tone.
Blue Monday - Orgy
Got The Life - KoRn
I left my 7 string in the rack for this one because I didn't feel like making it that intensely heavy. But with the right kind of distortion you can get a very similar tone without having the baritone register. Sometimes the cheap stuff (free) is just as good, if not better, than stuff that puts a dent in your wallet. For the task of fuzzing up my guitars I used Guitar Rig for a Rectified tone and Computer Music Magazines CM Waveshaper plug-in. I did pretty much the same thing with my bass.
